Jenny's Colorado Buck
Jenny recently got back from Colorado and got a really nice 4x4. It was so much fun and great to spend time with Dad. Dad got a big buck also. We passed up tons of 4x4's and had a big learning experience on deer hunting in general! Here are a couple of the deer we passed that we got close enough to throw a stone at!

Our First Halloween in Michigan!
We went to Michigan for Halloween. It was way fun and absolutely great to see Robb, Amanda, and Cole. Among other things, we went to a Farm/Cider Mill, saw everyone's work, carved pumpkins, and helped Cole Trick or Treat! It was nice to have some one-on-one time and get to know each other again/better! Amanda, of course, put everyone to shame on pumpkin carving, but all were really quite a sight! Jenny also gave Amanda her homemade gift so it could be done in person - A Koolaid handbag! We had a really fun time!

Whitney Weekend!
Whit came down and visited us for a short weekend. Her and Todd jammed out on the guitars and learned a few new songs. We went to the Joseph Smith movie at the St George Temple vistors center and to Whitney's first rib dinner! It was fabulous! We then decided we hadn't sat quite enough so we went and saw Talladega Nights, it was just OK! We are way glad she had the chance to break away from school and come down to see us. A report to everyone: she looks healthy and happy!!! She went back on Sunday, but since Monday was the deer hunt we took off work and ran out for a day in the woods! We target practiced with a 22 for awhile, since shooting the bigger rifles are a little more hassle and the little rifles are a lot more fun! We had to get this picture of Todd, it looks like he was shooting a kid's gun!! Hope you are all doing well.

Montana Elk Hunting Trip
This is Jenny's trip to Montana. She and her dad got a great elk with their bows. (It was a community effort!) The trip was so fun and a great chance to catch up with Mom and Dad! There are a lot of old Homesteads on the Ranch and even some really old vehicles. The hunting was fun and we saw a lot of elk every day. It was pretty tough packing mine out of the canyon he decided to die in, but it was all worth it! I tried to capture how tired and bloody I was in a photo, but I don't know if it worked! It is such a long and exciting story, ending with a wet, snowy night. You will just have to ask to hear about it in person! Remember you can click on the pictures to make them bigger!

Camping/Waterskiing with the Kirk's!!
We went waterskiing the last weekend in September with Josh and Carrie Kirk, our best friends from Logan. We camped out Friday night and skied all day Saturday. It was way fun to see Josh and Carrie again. Carrie got up kneeboarding for the first time and Josh got up on double skies for the first time! The sand was great and camping made it all the more adventurous! I keep thinking it'll be the last trip of the season, but Todd is sure we will be able to go a few more times!

Waterskiing in Late September?!!
We just went to the lake the other day and it was such a blast. It was a little chilly, but overall a way fun day! We went with Jenny's sister's family and everyone had a blast! The kids rode the tube, Jenny and her sister, Amy, got up on double skis together and kneeboarded together. John, Amy's husband, got up on a slalom and double kneeboarded with Todd, and of course, Todd got in more slaloming and wakeboarding than most people could handle!! Everyone wore sweatshirts, but everyone agreed it was all worth it! Especially the kids who loved the beach and the boat and the tube!
